Shaping the future of geological data
In an industry where efficiency and risk management are critical, digitalisation and automation are reshaping how field geology is carried out. VERACIO is supporting two research projects through the ARC Training Centre for Integrated Operations for Complex Resources (IOCR), with both technologies now progressing towards industry trials and potential commercial deployment.
The projects were recently featured in Australian Mining and form part of IOCR’s broader program to develop practical solutions for complex mining challenges through collaboration between researchers, technology providers and mining companies.
According to Peter Dowd, the technologies have progressed beyond the research phase and are now seeking industry partners to support pilot deployments and operational testing.
“These are not early-stage concepts. They have been developed to solve real operational challenges and are ready to be deployed in partnership with industry.”
Connecting Research with Industry
As mining companies continue to tackle increasingly complex orebodies and operational challenges, collaboration between industry and research organisations plays an important role in accelerating the development and adoption of new technologies.
VERACIO’s involvement in the IOCR program reflects the company’s commitment to supporting research with practical industry applications and helping bridge the gap between technology development and operational deployment.
