NEWMONT SHARES NEW GEOLOGICAL INSIGHTS FROM RIDGEWAY USING SCAN BY VERACIO

Newmont has presented work from the Ridgeway deposit at Cadia, highlighting how new technology and integrated geological datasets are generating fresh insights from a mature mineral system.

Presented at Mines & Wines in Orange, the work integrated multi-element geochemistry from Scan by VERACIO with relogging and recent drilling to refine the understanding of geological controls on mineralisation at Ridgeway.

The integrated dataset identified new vectors for targeting potential extensions to the existing resource within country rock historically considered less prospective.

The work demonstrates the value of revisiting mature deposits with new technology and modern geological workflows, combining existing geological knowledge with new datasets to extract additional insight from the rock and identify opportunities that may previously have been overlooked.
